Why the name Sostratos?

Sostratos of Knidos was an architect from Knidos in Asia Minor in the 4th and 3rd centuries B.C. He is considered to be the builder of the Lighthouse of Alexandria, commissioned by Ptolemy I, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World.Sostratos was a visionary who was far ahead of his time. We take him as a role model for our management. A lighthouse used to show sailors the way. We want to show our customers the way through the complex insurance landscape and stand by them.

As a start-up, we can also make a contribution to the environment. In addition, digitised processes allow us to work paperless.

We use our knowledge, training and passion to advise and support our clients. We also use our business knowledge to create a professional working structure that ensures fairness between all parties.

For corporate customers, we will compare income with expenditure. If there is a surplus, we will pay back part of it or invest in sustainability projects.

Our mission

Our mission as an independent insurance broker is to provide price-optimised and transparent insurance solutions that meet the individual needs of our clients.

We strive for sustainable practices in our operations and promote sustainable behaviour among our customers. This, for example, through fully digitalised working and use of digital filing systems such as our mySostratos customer portal.

Our aim is to build long-term relationships with our customers and continuously strive for excellence in all aspects of our business.

Our vision

Our vision is to work with a transparent and professional approach. In particular, we want to anticipate the transformation of the insurance industry and already pioneer the topics of training, documentation, client protection, digitalisation and compensation disclosure. At the same time, we uphold ethical standards and promote a culture of trust and respect within our industry and towards our clients and partners.
